What started as a dream to create a unique destination became a reality in Vrådal, Norway, where we built two stunning villas with breathtaking views. The land and surroundings are so versatile, offering everything from serene tranquility to adventurous outdoor activities. When and how did the property become part of your lives, and what motivated you to make it a part of your journey?

We’ve always been drawn to Norway, with its magical landscapes and abundant wildlife. The variety of scenery, from dense forests to serene lakes, waterfalls, and mountains, captivated us. When searching for a new location, we enthusiastically chose Norway! Our journey began with a visit to Vrådal, which immediately stole our hearts. We discovered a unique peninsula with only two plots available—such opportunities arise once every 20 years. Despite initial challenges, we secured the site and realized our vision. Renesidence Norway was born: luxury vacation homes harmoniously blending nature and high-end design, filled with our love and passion for interiors.

Can you share more about the process of designing and furnishing your property?

From the initial sketches, our priority was to create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. We revised the designs countless times to achieve this. The large three-meter-high windows bring the surrounding nature indoors. The interiors reflect natural elements, with themes like Moss and Cedar inspired by the surrounding colors and materials. Collaborating with a Norwegian design team, we crafted luxurious, sustainable homes that are both warm and inviting.

What makes your property truly special to you? Are there any memories or moments that make it particularly dear?

The location is, without a doubt, the jewel of Vrådal. Nestled on a peninsula, surrounded by fjords and forests, it offers unparalleled tranquility and privacy. It was love at first sight for all of us. Turning this blank canvas into two luxurious homes was a challenging yet rewarding journey. Seeing our vision come to life makes us incredibly proud and grateful. The serene atmosphere and stunning views make this place magical for both us and our guests.

How would you describe the atmosphere and interior design of your property?

The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and luxurious. The interiors are meticulously designed to mirror nature, using rich tones and sustainable materials. The villas combine the comforts of home with hotel-like quality, making them perfect for relaxation and adventure.

Which part of your property is your favorite, and why?

While the villas are beautiful, the surrounding environment truly steals the show. The lakes, reflecting the mountains, the shifting seasons, and the serenity are awe-inspiring. Our favorite spot is the private path leading to the water's edge, ideal for a peaceful moment or a refreshing swim. The large living room windows offer mesmerizing views, like gazing at a postcard.

What makes the location of your property unique and special?

Our property sits on a rare and private peninsula, offering breathtaking views and direct access to water. Unlike crowded vacation parks, our location provides unparalleled privacy and immersion in nature. With four distinct seasons, the activities available—from skiing and husky tours in winter to swimming and hiking in summer—are endless and extraordinary.

Are there any sustainable or eco-friendly features in your property that you’re proud of?

All the wood used for construction comes from sustainably managed local forests. We have our own deep-water well for fresh drinking water and rely entirely on electricity generated by nearby hydroelectric plants. Sustainability is at the core of our design and operations.

What inspired or motivated you to rent your property to guests?

We wanted to share the tranquility, beauty, and connection with nature that this place offers. Our villas are designed to provide shared moments with loved ones while allowing space for individual relaxation, ensuring everyone feels at home.

A Norwegian carpenter with decades of experience building homes told us this was the most beautiful and unique place he’d ever worked. Guests often describe the villas as places where they immediately feel at home, immersed in stunning nature. One note that stands out reads: “This place makes this house a home.”
