Only a 40 minute drive from Malaga airport, in the authentic interior of southern Spain and yet close to the beautiful beaches and cities... a wonderful location. Cortijo el Canito is located at the end of a dirt road with here and there a neighbor who cannot be seen from the house, so lots of privacy . Sitting in one of the many sitting areas outside, you have a wide view over the valley and in the distance you only hear a rooster crowing. The idyllic and quiet life in the countryside can easily be combined with a visit to villages, towns and beaches.
Inside, Cortijo el Canito has a large kitchen/diner with all amenities, three bedrooms (one with air conditioning ), two bathrooms and a living room with patio doors to the terrace. Everywhere in the house you see the professional hand of the owner; from the light gray cast floor throughout the house, the creative self-designed kitchen cabinets and beautiful details in every room. Outside you will be surprised by various seating areas and of course the lovely private swimming pool.

Your own Spanish dream in Andalusia. Cortijo el Canito is a picture, a wonderful holiday home to enjoy the surroundings and the Spanish climate together. The interior is very tasteful and very relaxing due to the use of natural colours. The house is tastefully decorated by the owner who is an interior stylist in the Netherlands.

Ground floor:
- The large kitchen/diner is equipped with an induction hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. The long dining table is a lovely place to get together. In the relatively small but cosy living room there is a TV/DVD (and a number of DVDs) and an iPod box. A lovely place to read with the doors to the terrace open and enjoy the view.
- A living room with sofas and large sliding glass doors to the garden.
- Downstairs there is a spacious bedroom with a double bed with an en-suite bathroom with rain shower, toilet and sink.
- On the other side of the house (next to the kitchen) is a bedroom with two single beds that can be pushed together. This room has direct access to the terrace.
Upper floor:
- Here you will find the large and attractive master bedroom (with air conditioning ) and another beautiful, spacious bathroom with rain shower, sink and toilet.
Outside:
- The garden has a typical Mediterranean atmosphere with olive and fig trees, quinces and orleanders and offers enough space to find a nice spot at any time of the day.
- Several comfortable seating areas have been created where you can enjoy the serene views over the valley together.
- A large dining table invites you to dine 'al fresco', and the wonderful climate means you can linger at the table until the early hours.
- A good sized swimming pool (8x4) provides the necessary cooling and a place to sunbathe.
- There is a lot of privacy all around, yet you don't get the feeling of being completely isolated.
It is nice that there is a restaurant/bar within walking distance of the holiday home where you can eat but also take a paella with you for the house. The village of Villanueva de Trabuco is 3 kilometers from the house. Within 40 minutes you are at the sea and in 35 minutes at the airport of Malaga. The region Axarquía, where Canito el Canito is located, (east of Malaga) is praised for the many sunny days, on average 320 days per year.
